Terms of Service
What lock.tools does
lock.tools lets you lock tokens in a Solana program for a duration you choose. Once a lock is created, the tokens are held in a vault controlled by the program and can only be withdrawn by the wallet that created the lock, and only after the unlock time. The owner can extend the unlock time to a later date; it can never be shortened.
Testing on devnet
lock.tools is currently running on Solana devnet for testing. Devnet tokens have no value and the service may change or be reset without notice. These terms are written for the launch and apply in the same way to testing.
What lock.tools does not do
- There is no cancel, pause, or early-withdraw instruction. A lock cannot be reversed by you or by lock.tools before the unlock time.
- lock.tools does not custody funds outside of the lock duration, does not manage your private keys, and never asks for your seed phrase.
- lock.tools does not provide investment, financial, or legal advice.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for verifying the token, amount, and unlock time before signing, and for the security of your wallet. Because locks cannot be reversed, mistakes in these fields cannot be undone by anyone, including lock.tools. Only the wallet that created a lock can withdraw it; if you lose access to that wallet, nobody can recover the tokens.
Fees
Short locks are free. Other locks and extensions are priced by the lock.tools service for each specific lock and shown to you before you sign, payable in the currencies offered at that time (USDC, SOL, or the locked token). You also pay normal Solana network costs and a refundable deposit for the lock's accounts that is returned on withdrawal. The pricing policy may change at any time and applies to locks and extensions made after the change.
No warranty
lock.tools is provided as-is. Smart contracts can contain bugs despite testing and review. Only lock amounts you can afford to have inaccessible for the full duration you select.
